Kirill Petrenko Spotify the new Berliner Philharmoniker conductor

White smoke in Berlin! It was just announced, live, that Russian born, German based Kirill Petrenko is the new chief conductor of the Berliner Philharmoniker.
Somewhere in 2018, that is…
It actually took some effort to find recordings of him on Spotify, especially as Vasily Petrenko, no relation to Krill found so far, has recorded more than his namesake.
But found two recordings I hope you will enjoy! One with infamous pianist Dejan Lazic, the one who had a bad review and tried Google’s “right to forget” to erase that bad review. Actually, he does not need that, as he is a capable and fine pianist.
And two orchestral poems by Dvorak’s son-in-law Josef Suk.

Sergei Rachmaninov (1873-1943)
-Piano Concerto No. 2 in C minor Op. 18

composed 1894
